Doris F. Helfers nee Jensen, 80, of Des Plaines, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Northwest Community Hospital. Beloved wife of James Helfers for 54 years. Loving mother of Kristin (Joe) Campos, Julie (Steve) Callahan, Jennifer (Brian) McCarthy, Jill (Carl) Permanian. Cherished grandmother of Jenna (Shane), Joey, Josh, Ryan, Matthew, Michael, Stevie, Tom, Scott, Kevin, Kate, Zack, and Nick. Dear sister of Sandra (Phil) Larsen, James (Chris) Jensen. Fond aunt of many. Preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Lillian Jensen and brother Larry Jensen.
Doris was born May 4, 1936 in Chicago.
Doris was the best mother in the whole wide world and will be missed dearly.
Visitation Tuesday 9:30 A.M. until Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St, Mt. Prospect. Interment Memory Gardens, Arlington Heights.
